What NTA says about combinations

  • You may choose up to a maximum of five (05) subjects, irrespective of the subjects opted in Class XII.
  • Candidates may select the subjects based on the eligibility criteria for a programme of a desired university.
  • Shifts are not something you choose: The allotment of candidates to the shift is based on the options exercised and technical and administrative considerations. No request for a change of date or shift is entertained.

What this tool does not tell you

  • Whether a programme accepts your combination. That rule belongs to each university's own eligibility page, which the bulletin says to read. Programme-level rules will be added here only as they are verified from university documents.
  • Whether two papers can clash in the schedule. NTA allots shifts after you apply; the bulletin fixes no slots.
