CUET (UG), explained end to end
What CUET UG is, who runs it, and the nine pages that take it from the paper you pick to the seat a university decides — every claim citing the document it came from.
CUET UG — the Common University Entrance Test (Undergraduate) — is a single computer-based test (CBT) run by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is not one paper but a menu of 37, of which you register for up to 5 subjects: 13 languages, 23 domain subjects and 1 General Aptitude Test. Each is 50 questions in 60 minutes, marked +5 and −1. The score is the main input to admission at 48 Central Universities and many state, deemed and private universities — an input, not a decision, because NTA has no role in the preparation of the merit list.

What the exam does not settle
A CUET score opens nothing on its own: merely appearing in CUET (UG) 2026 confers no right to admission to the university a candidate wants. Which programmes your particular papers qualify you for is read from each university's own course-mapping document, programme by programme — that is what the matcher and the university pages are for.
What this page does not say
- Which of these institutions will accept your papers. That is a programme-level rule, read from each university's own admission document, and nothing NTA publishes centrally answers it.
- What a score is worth. CUET produces a normalised score; what it buys is decided afterwards, by each university's own closing lists.
- Anything about a university whose rules have not been read into this site yet. The ones that have are named; the rest carry their identity and NTA's mapping PDF, and say so.
