CUET (UG) syllabus
There is no single CUET syllabus. Each of the 37 papers has its own, published by NTA as a separate document — here is where each one is, and what the bulletin refuses to fix.
CUET (UG) has no single syllabus. It has 37, and each one carries a syllabus of its own that NTA publishes as a separate document. The information bulletin prints none of it: section 2.6 gives one address — https://cuet.nta.nic.in/cuetug-2026-syllabus/ — and stops there. So the only honest answer to "what is the CUET syllabus" is another question: which of the 37 papers are you sitting? This site reads each of those documents unit by unit, in English and Hindi, one page per paper.
Where is the official CUET syllabus?
On NTA's own site, at https://cuet.nta.nic.in/cuetug-2026-syllabus/, as one document per subject. The bulletin points there and publishes nothing further, so any topic list that does not trace back to one of those per-subject documents is somebody's reconstruction.
Every one of the 37 papers has its syllabus read out on this site, with the document and page it came from beside each unit: all subject papers, by NTA's own paper codes.
Is the CUET syllabus the same as the Class 12 syllabus?
The bulletin does not say that, and neither does any NTA document this site has read. What the bulletin does say is the reverse of the question most people are asking: you may choose your papers irrespective of the subjects opted in Class XII. Your school subjects do not restrict which CUET papers you may register for.
What does restrict you is the programme you are aiming at — Candidates may select the subjects based on the eligibility criteria for a programme of a desired university. Those rules are read from each university's own course-mapping document and published per programme on this site.
How many questions come from each unit?
Nothing published says. The per-subject syllabus documents list topics; they do not weight them, and NTA publishes no unit-wise question count. A paper is 50 questions, answered in 60 minutes, and that is the whole of what is fixed in advance.
Does the syllabus change with the medium you pick?
No — the paper is the same paper. The medium changes only the language it is shown to you in. A question paper appears in English alongside the medium you chose, and the English version prevails in the event of any difference of opinion. Choose carefully: the medium chosen on the application form cannot be changed at a later stage, and you must attempt the paper in the medium you registered in.
What to do with this page
Pick your papers against the programmes you actually want, then read those papers' syllabuses — not the other way round. The paper-to-programme matcher resolves the first half; the subject pages hold the second.
What this page does not say
- How many questions come from each unit. The per-subject documents list topics and do not weight them, and NTA publishes no unit-wise split.
- Which paper you should take. The syllabus is the same for everyone sitting it; the choice is decided by the programmes you want, not by the syllabus.
- Anything a topic list found elsewhere claims. If it does not trace back to NTA's own per-subject document, it is a reconstruction.
