Options for question 59

Show the answer and explanation
CorrectNot quiteAnswer B

Correct answer: B

Explanation

  1. Add the digits: 1+3+5=91 + 3 + 5 = 9, 2+4+3=92 + 4 + 3 = 9, 3+5+1=93 + 5 + 1 = 9.

  2. 1+4+5=101 + 4 + 5 = 10, so 145 is the odd one out.

Worth noting

Equivalently, 135, 243 and 351 are divisible by 9 and 145 is not. Divisibility by 5 does not help: 135 and 145 both end in 5.
