CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. The copied numbers were short by (42−24)+(65−56)=18+9=27(42 - 24) + (65 - 56) = 18 + 9 = 27.

  2. Correct total = 50×36+27=1,82750 \times 36 + 27 = 1{,}827.

  3. Correct average = 182750=36.54\frac{1827}{50} = 36.54.

Worth noting

Both errors must be fixed. Correcting only 42 gives 36.36; subtracting the 27 gives 35.46.
