Explanation
Dolma is on floor 5 (clue 1), so the other four fill floors 1 to 4.
Clue 2 puts Chinmay directly under Aditi, and clue 3 puts Emmanuel above Aditi and Balwinder above Emmanuel.
Upward order is therefore Chinmay, Aditi, Emmanuel, Balwinder on floors 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Chinmay is on floor 1 and Dolma on floor 5. The floors in between are 2, 3 and 4, so 3 people.
