Options for question 13

CorrectNot quiteAnswer B

Correct answer: B

Explanation

  1. The rise is 18,000−12,000=6,00018{,}000 - 12{,}000 = 6{,}000 users a day.

  2. Measured on the January figure, 6,000÷12,0006{,}000 \div 12{,}000 = ½, a rise of 50%. This follows.

  3. "One-third" divides 6,000 by the June figure, 18,000, which is the wrong base. Fares and car use are not mentioned, so those need outside information.

Worth noting

A report of numbers supports only conclusions about those numbers. The reason behind the rise is a guess.
