CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. B's speed is 400100=4\frac{400}{100} = 4 m/s. In A's 80 seconds, B runs 4×80=3204 \times 80 = 320 m.

  2. So B needs a start of 400−320=80400 - 320 = 80 m.

Worth noting

20 is the start in seconds, not metres.
