CorrectNot quiteAnswer A

Correct answer: A

Explanation

  1. After turning around she faces west; 12 km east then 4 km west leaves her 8 km east.

  2. Left from west is south, so the last leg is 6 km south.

  3. Distance =82+62=10= \sqrt{8^2 + 6^2} = 10 km.

Worth noting

22 km is the total walked. 18 km uses 12 km instead of the net 8 km. 14 km adds 8 and 6.
