CorrectNot quiteAnswer C

Correct answer: C

Explanation

  1. HCF of fractions = HCF of numeratorsLCM of denominators\frac{\text{HCF of numerators}}{\text{LCM of denominators}}.

  2. HCF⁡(4,10,8)=2\operatorname{HCF}(4, 10, 8) = 2.

  3. LCM(9, 21, 15) = 32×5×7=3153^2 \times 5 \times 7 = 315.

  4. HCF = 2315\frac{2}{315}.

Worth noting

403\frac{40}{3} is the LCM (LCM of numerators over HCF of denominators). Using the HCF of denominators for an HCF gives 23\frac{2}{3}, which is not a factor of 49\frac{4}{9}.
