CorrectNot quiteAnswer C

Correct answer: C

Explanation

  1. Let Bhavna get ₹bb. Asha gets ₹2b2b and Chitra ₹(b+400)(b + 400).

  2. b+2b+b+400=2400b + 2b + b + 400 = 2400, so 4b=20004b = 2000 and b=500b = 500.

  3. Chitra gets 500+400=900500 + 400 = 900, i.e. ₹900.

Worth noting

₹500 is Bhavna's share and ₹1,000 is Asha's. ₹800 is an equal split, which ignores the conditions.
