Show the answer and explanation
CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. Count the factors of 5 in 1×21 \times 2 × … × 125.

  2. 125÷5=25125 \div 5 = 25, 125÷25=5125 \div 25 = 5, 125÷125=1125 \div 125 = 1.

  3. Trailing zeros = 25+5+1=3125 + 5 + 1 = 31.

Worth noting

125=53125 = 5^3 gives a third 5; stopping at 25+525 + 5 gives 30.
