Correct answer: C

Explanation

  1. Overall factor = 1.2×0.8×1.11.2 \times 0.8 \times 1.1.

  2. 1.2×0.8=0.961.2 \times 0.8 = 0.96, and 0.96×1.1=1.0560.96 \times 1.1 = 1.056.

  3. Original = 528001.056=50,000\frac{52800}{1.056} = 50{,}000.

Worth noting

A 20% rise and a 20% fall do not cancel (they leave 96%). Assuming they cancel gives 48,000.
