CorrectNot quiteAnswer A

Correct answer: A

Explanation

  1. Milk = 30 litres and water = 10 litres. The milk stays the same.

  2. For milk : water = 5:35 : 3, water must be 30×3÷5=1830 \times 3 \div 5 = 18 litres.

  3. Water to add = 18−10=818 - 10 = 8 litres.

Worth noting

18 litres is the water needed in the final mixture, not the amount to add.
