CorrectNot quiteAnswer A

Correct answer: A

Explanation

  1. Innermost bracket: 4+2=64 + 2 = 6.

  2. Inside the square bracket, multiply before subtracting: 20−6×2=20−12=820 - 6 \times 2 = 20 - 12 = 8.

  3. Finally 3×8=243 \times 8 = 24.

Worth noting

Doing 20−620 - 6 first gives 14×2=2814 \times 2 = 28 inside the bracket and 84 overall.
