Options for question 10

Show the answer and explanation
CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. I follows: the operator says all seats are booked, so as things stand there is no seat left to book.

  2. II follows: a passenger with a booking has a seat, and no one on the bus is allowed to stand.

  3. Both I and II follow.

Worth noting

I is limited to "at present" on purpose: a seat could be freed later by a cancellation, which the announcement does not rule out. A conclusion must hold for exactly the time the statement covers.
