Show the answer and explanation
Correct answer: C
Explanation
The Radcliffe Line was drawn in 1947 to divide British India, and is the boundary between India and Pakistan — and, in the east, between India and what is now Bangladesh.
It is named for Cyril Radcliffe, who chaired the boundary commissions.
He had never visited India before the task and was given about five weeks to complete it.
Worth noting
Learn the four named lines against their pairs of countries: Radcliffe for India and Pakistan, Durand for Pakistan and Afghanistan, McMahon for India and China, and the 38th parallel for the two Koreas.
