CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. Milk is now 1625\frac{16}{25} of the can, so (1−4V)2=1625\left(1 - \frac{4}{V}\right)^2 = \frac{16}{25}.

  2. 1−4V=451 - \frac{4}{V} = \frac{4}{5}, so 4V=15\frac{4}{V} = \frac{1}{5} and V=20V = 20 litres.

Worth noting

25 litres reads the ratio's total, 16+916 + 9, as the capacity.
