CorrectNot quiteAnswer A

Correct answer: A

Explanation

  1. The factor is exe^{x}, so yex=∫excos⁡x dxye^{x} = \int e^{x}\cos x\,dx.

  2. By parts twice, ∫excos⁡x dx=ex(sin⁡x+cos⁡x)2+C\int e^{x}\cos x\,dx = \frac{e^{x}(\sin x + \cos x)}{2} + C.

  3. Divide by exe^{x}: y=sin⁡x+cos⁡x2+Ce−xy = \frac{\sin x + \cos x}{2} + Ce^{-x}.

Worth noting

sin⁡x−cos⁡x2\frac{\sin x - \cos x}{2} slips a sign in the second integration by parts: ∫exsin⁡x dx\int e^{x}\sin x\,dx comes in with a minus.
