CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. Integrate term by term with the standard forms: ∫xn dx=xn+1n+1\int x^n\,dx = \frac{x^{n+1}}{n+1}, ∫1x dx=log⁡∣x∣\int \frac{1}{x}\,dx = \log|x|, ∫ex dx=ex\int e^x\,dx = e^x.

  2. ∫(x+1x) dx=2x323+2x+C\int \left(\sqrt{x} + \frac{1}{\sqrt{x}}\right)\,dx = \frac{2 x^{\frac{3}{2}}}{3} + 2 \sqrt{x} + C.

  3. Check: differentiating the answer gives back the integrand.

Worth noting

12x−12x32\frac{1}{2 \sqrt{x}} - \frac{1}{2 x^{\frac{3}{2}}} differentiates instead of integrating.
