Show the answer and explanation
CorrectNot quiteAnswer A

Correct answer: A

Explanation

  1. V=a3V = a^3, so dVdt=3a2dadt\frac{dV}{dt} = 3a^2\frac{da}{dt}.

  2. 9=3×9×dadt9 = 3 \times 9 \times \frac{da}{dt}, so dadt=13\frac{da}{dt} = \frac{1}{3} cm/s.

Worth noting

1 cm/s divides by a2=9a^2 = 9 but forgets the 3 from differentiating a3a^3.
