Show the answer and explanation
CorrectNot quiteAnswer B

Correct answer: B

Explanation

  1. When A runs 100 m, B runs 90 m. When B runs 90 m, C runs 90100×90=81\frac{90}{100} \times 90 = 81 m.

  2. So A beats C by 100−81=19100 - 81 = 19 m.

Worth noting

20 m adds the two margins, but B's 10 m lead over C was over a full 100 m, and B only runs 90 m here.
