Options for question 18

Show the answer and explanation
CorrectNot quiteAnswer C

Correct answer: C

Explanation

  1. When A runs 100 m, B runs 8080 m.

  2. C runs 75100\frac{75}{100} of what B runs: 80×75100=6080 \times \frac{75}{100} = 60 m, so A wins by 4040 m.

Worth noting

45 m adds the margins, but B's margin over C shrinks because B runs less than the full race.
