Show the answer and explanation
CorrectNot quiteAnswer B

Correct answer: B

Explanation

  1. With tt tails there are 3−t3 - t heads, so X=t−(3−t)=2t−3X = t - (3 - t) = 2t - 3.

  2. For t=0,1,2,3t = 0, 1, 2, 3: X=−3,−1,1,3X = -3, -1, 1, 3.

Worth noting

Even values such as 0 are impossible: with 3 coins, tails and heads cannot be equal.
