CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. The later year must be a leap year and must begin on a Saturday.

  2. From 2000 to 2027 there are 28 years with 7 leap years (2000, 2004, …, 2024): odd days =28+7=35=5×7= 28 + 7 = 35 = 5 \times 7.

  3. 2028 is leap and begins on Saturday. No non-leap century year lies in between, so the 28-year rule holds.

Worth noting

2005 and 2011 also start on a Saturday, but they are ordinary years, so their dates from March onwards do not match 2000.
