CorrectNot quiteAnswer A

Correct answer: A

Explanation

  1. Tens digit: 2, 4, 6 or 8 (0 would not give a two-digit number), so 4 choices.

  2. Units digit: 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8, so 5 choices.

  3. Numbers =4×5=20= 4 \times 5 = 20.

Worth noting

25 is 5×55 \times 5, which lets the tens digit be 0. 40 checks only the tens digit, and 45 counts every even two-digit number, where only the units digit need be even.
