Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. 1 January to 1 February: 610×100=60%\frac{6}{10} \times 100 = 60\%.

  2. 1 February to 1 March: 816=50%\frac{8}{16} = 50\%. 1 March to 1 April: 1024≈41.7%\frac{10}{24} \approx 41.7\%.

  3. 1 April to 1 May: 6÷34≈17.6%6 \div 34 \approx 17.6\%. 1 May to 1 June: 3÷40=7.5%3 \div 40 = 7.5\%. The largest is 60%.

Worth noting

1 March to 1 April has the largest growth in cm (10 cm), but on 24 cm that is about 41.7%, less than the 60% from 10 cm to 16 cm. 1 February to 1 March is 8 cm on 16 cm, which is 50%.
