CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. Evening shadows fall east. With the shadow behind him, Kabir walks west for 6 km.

  2. Left from west is south, so he walks 8 km south.

  3. Distance from the start =62+82=10= \sqrt{6^2 + 8^2} = 10 km.

  4. Facing south, east is on his left, so the shadow falls to his left.

Worth noting

14 km adds the legs. Facing south, left and right are reversed from the map: east is on the left.
