CorrectNot quiteAnswer B

Correct answer: B

Explanation

  1. Write the numbers as 13a and 13b, where a and b are co-prime.

  2. 13a×13b=202813a \times 13b = 2028, so ab = 2028÷169=122028 \div 169 = 12.

  3. Co-prime pairs with product 12: (1, 12) and (3, 4). The pair (2, 6) fails because HCF⁡(2,6)=2\operatorname{HCF}(2, 6) = 2.

  4. So 2 pairs: (13, 156) and (39, 52).

Worth noting

Counting (2, 6) gives 3, but 26 and 78 have HCF 26, not 13.
