Show the answer and explanation
CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. Take SP = ₹100. Then profit = ₹20.

  2. CP = ₹100 − ₹20 = ₹80.

  3. Profit % on CP = 2080×100=25%\frac{20}{80} \times 100 = 25\%.

Worth noting

A profit that is 20% of the SP is always a bigger percentage of the CP, because the CP is smaller than the SP.
