CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. Take CP = ₹100. Then x = ₹120.

  2. 2x = ₹240.

  3. Profit % = 240−100100×100=140%\frac{240 - 100}{100} \times 100 = 140\%.

Worth noting

Doubling the SP does not double the profit % (40%), nor leave it at 20%. The CP stays at ₹100, so the profit grows from ₹20 to ₹140.
