CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. CP of the first = 3000×100125=24003000 \times \frac{100}{125} = 2400, that is ₹2,400.

  2. CP of the second = 3000×10080=37503000 \times \frac{100}{80} = 3750, that is ₹3,750.

  3. Total CP = ₹6,150 and total SP = ₹6,000.

  4. She makes an overall loss of ₹150.

Worth noting

Many students subtract (25%−20%=5%)(25\% - 20\% = 5\%) and pick a profit of ₹300. That fails because the two percentages are on different cost prices. Find each CP.
