CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. ac=ab×bc=23×45=815\frac{a}{c} = \frac{a}{b} \times \frac{b}{c} = \frac{2}{3} \times \frac{4}{5} = \frac{8}{15}.

  2. So a:c=8:15a : c = 8 : 15.

Worth noting

Simply joining the outer numbers gives 2:52 : 5, which ignores that b has different values in the two ratios.
