CorrectNot quiteAnswer B

Correct answer: B

Explanation

  1. Let the batters be 3x and the bowlers 5x. The bowlers do not change.

  2. 3x+95x=34\frac{3x + 9}{5x} = \frac{3}{4} gives 12x+36=15x12x + 36 = 15x, so x=12x = 12.

  3. Batters now = 3×12+9=453 \times 12 + 9 = 45.

Worth noting

36 is the number of batters before the new players joined; 60 is the number of bowlers.
