CorrectNot quiteAnswer B

Correct answer: B

Explanation

  1. One year's SI = ₹900. The extra ₹81 is interest on that ₹900 for one year.

  2. Rate = 81900×100=9%\frac{81}{900} \times 100 = 9\%.

  3. Sum = 1800×1009×2=10000\frac{1800 \times 100}{9 \times 2} = 10000, that is, ₹10,000.

Worth noting

₹20,000 forgets that ₹1,800 is for 2 years. ₹10,450 uses the CI ₹1,881 in the simple-interest formula.
