CorrectNot quiteAnswer C

Correct answer: C

Explanation

  1. 3-year difference ÷ 2-year difference = P(R/100)2(3+R/100)P(R/100)2=3+R100=3.1\frac{P(R/100)^2(3 + R/100)}{P(R/100)^2} = 3 + \frac{R}{100} = 3.1.

  2. 3-year difference = ₹50 × 3.1 = ₹155.

  3. Check: the sum is 50÷0.0150 \div 0.01 = ₹5,000; CI = ₹1,655, SI = ₹1,500, difference = ₹155.

Worth noting

₹150 multiplies by 3 and misses the R/100R/100. ₹650 uses 3+R=133 + R = 13 instead of 3+R/100=3.13 + R/100 = 3.1.
