CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. CI for 2 years at 10%=P[(1.1)2−1]=0.21P10\% = P[(1.1)^2 - 1] = 0.21P, so P=25200.21=12000P = \frac{2520}{0.21} = 12000.

  2. SI = 12,000×10×2÷10012{,}000 \times 10 \times 2 \div 100 = ₹2,400.

Worth noting

₹1,200 is only one year's SI. ₹2,268 takes 10% off the CI, but the gap is ₹120 (10% of the first year's ₹1,200), not ₹252.
