CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. Write every base as a power of 3: 9n+1=32n+29^{n + 1} = 3^{2n + 2} and 81n=34n81^n = 3^{4n}.

  2. Numerator: 32n+2×32n−1=34n+13^{2n + 2} \times 3^{2n - 1} = 3^{4n + 1}.

  3. Divide: 34n+1−4n=31=33^{4n + 1 - 4n} = 3^1 = 3.

Worth noting

Writing 9n+19^{n + 1} as 32n+13^{2n + 1} (forgetting to double the 1) gives 30=13^0 = 1. Double the whole exponent.
