CorrectNot quiteAnswer C

Correct answer: C

Explanation

  1. A square has four right angles, so it is a rectangle; it has four equal sides, so it is a rhombus. Squares lies inside both.

  2. Some rectangles are not rhombuses and some rhombuses are not rectangles: Rectangles and Rhombuses overlap.

  3. Their common part is exactly the squares.

  4. So two overlapping circles with a small circle inside their common part.

Worth noting

Three circles, each inside the next, would need every rectangle to be a rhombus (or the reverse). A long thin rectangle is not a rhombus.
