EasyOriginal question

Options for question 47

Show the answer and explanation
CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. Bicycle only =45−12=33= 45 - 12 = 33; scooter only =30−12=18= 30 - 12 = 18.

  2. Exactly one =33+18=51= 33 + 18 = 51.

Worth noting

39 takes the 12 away twice (63−12−12)(63 - 12 - 12); the owners of both are removed only once from the 63 who own at least one. 33 counts bicycle-only owners alone, and 12 is the number who own both.
