CorrectNot quiteAnswer D

Correct answer: D

Explanation

  1. Only Bengali + only Odia =80−20−12=48= 80 - 20 - 12 = 48.

  2. If only Odia =x= x, then 2x+x=482x + x = 48, so x=16x = 16 and only Bengali =32= 32.

  3. Bengali speakers =32+20=52= 32 + 20 = 52.

Worth noting

32 is only Bengali; the question asks for everyone who speaks Bengali, which includes the 20 who speak both. 36 is the Odia total.
