CorrectNot quiteAnswer B

Correct answer: B

Explanation

  1. Adding the lists gives 155 names: a student on one list is counted once, on two lists twice, on three lists three times.

  2. So (exactly one) + 2 × (exactly two) + 3×10=1553 \times 10 = 155, and (exactly one) + (exactly two) + 10=10010 = 100.

  3. Subtract: (exactly two) + 20=5520 = 55, so exactly two = 35.

Worth noting

45 subtracts the 10 only once (155−100−10)(155 - 100 - 10). 55 is the number on exactly one list.
