CorrectNot quiteAnswer C

Correct answer: C

Explanation

  1. Each time, 440=110\frac{4}{40} = \frac{1}{10} of what is in the can goes, so 910\frac{9}{10} of the milk stays.

  2. After three times: 40×(910)3=40×0.729=29.1640 \times \left(\frac{9}{10}\right)^{3} = 40 \times 0.729 = 29.16 litres.

Worth noting

28 litres takes out 4 litres of pure milk every time, but from the second time the 4 litres are part water.
