CorrectNot quiteAnswer B

Correct answer: B

Explanation

  1. Product rule: (uv)′=u′v+uv′(uv)' = u'v + uv', with u=exu = e^{x} and v=cos⁡xv = \cos x.

  2. (ex)(cos⁡x)+(ex)(−sin⁡x)=−exsin⁡x+excos⁡x(e^{x})(\cos x) + (e^{x})(- \sin x) = - e^{x} \sin x + e^{x} \cos x.

Worth noting

−exsin⁡x- e^{x} \sin x multiplies the two derivatives, which is not the product rule.
