CorrectNot quiteAnswer C

Correct answer: C

Explanation

  1. Expand along column 1, which has a zero: 1⋅∣3215∣−0+4⋅∣2−132∣1 \cdot \begin{vmatrix} 3 & 2 \\ 1 & 5 \end{vmatrix} - 0 + 4 \cdot \begin{vmatrix} 2 & -1 \\ 3 & 2 \end{vmatrix}.

  2. =1(15−2)+4(4+3)=13+28=41= 1(15 - 2) + 4(4 + 3) = 13 + 28 = 41.

Worth noting

Along column 1 the signs are +,−,++, -, +; the third term keeps its ++.
