Q. The owner, an old man who had run it for forty years, put up a notice saying the last show would be on Sunday.

R. For years, fewer and fewer people had come, as everyone watched films on their phones.

S. Word spread, and on Sunday a queue stretched down the street.

CorrectNot quiteAnswer B

Correct answer: B

Explanation

  1. After the opening sentence, R gives the reason: fewer people came.

  2. Q is the owner's notice, S is "word spread" and the queue "on Sunday", and P says who came, which leads to the owner's decision in the closing sentence.

  3. So the order is RQSP.

Worth noting

RSPQ has the queue form on Sunday before the owner has put up his notice.
