CorrectNot quiteAnswer B

Correct answer: B

Explanation

  1. Let Bhavna be bb. Six years ago: a−6=4(b−6)a - 6 = 4(b - 6), so a=4b−18a = 4b - 18.

  2. Six years ahead: a+6=2(b+6)a + 6 = 2(b + 6), so 4b−12=2b+124b - 12 = 2b + 12.

  3. b=12b = 12, a=30a = 30.

  4. Difference = 30−12=1830 - 12 = 18 years.

Worth noting

12 and 30 are the two ages; the question asks for the gap between them.
