Correct answer: B
Explanation
The Jnanpith is a literary award, and is generally described as India's highest.
It is open to writing in the languages of the Eighth Schedule and in English.

Worth noting
The Sahitya Akademi Award is the government's literary honour and is separate. A writer may receive both, and many have.
