CorrectNot quiteAnswer C

Correct answer: C

Explanation

  1. Convert to cm: 624 cm and 432 cm.

  2. The tile side must divide both, so take HCF(624, 432).

  3. 624=24×3×13624 = 2^4 \times 3 \times 13, 432=24×33432 = 2^4 \times 3^3, so HCF = 24×3=482^4 \times 3 = 48 cm.

Worth noting

72 cm divides 432 but not 624; 24 cm fits but is not the largest.
