CorrectNot quiteAnswer C

Correct answer: C

Explanation

  1. The side of the square must be a multiple of both 12 and 18: LCM⁡=36\operatorname{LCM} = 36 cm.

  2. Tiles along one side = 36÷12=336 \div 12 = 3; along the other = 36÷18=236 \div 18 = 2.

  3. Number of tiles = 3×2=63 \times 2 = 6.

Worth noting

36 is the side of the square in cm, not the number of tiles.
